1. Privacy First Architecture
GetVideo was architected from day one without tracking, user profiles, or invasive cookies. You do not need to register an account to use any of our download capabilities.
2. Ephemeral Processing (15 Minutes)
When you request a video download, the file is temporarily processed in an isolated directory. All generated files are automatically and irreversibly deleted within 15 minutes via our background cleanup daemon.
3. IP Addresses & Logs Retention
We do not link full video URLs to user IP addresses beyond 7 days. Temporary rate-limiting keys stored in Redis are sliding-window counters that expire within minutes. Web server logs are automatically rotated and purged.
4. No User Credentials or Cookies Accepted
GetVideo will never request, store, or accept your social media passwords, session tokens, or browser cookies. All downloads are fetched solely from publicly exposed network endpoints.
5. Local Download History
Your download history is saved exclusively inside your browser's local storage (`localStorage`). It never leaves your device and can be cleared with one click at any time.
